You don’t have to be a red-carpet regular to get a seat at Arthur & Pat’s. In fact, it probably wouldn’t matter if you were. When this ragtag seaside shack gets busy—basically, from the day it opens in April till it closes in the fall—everyone has to wait their turn for these gourmet omelets, titanic pancakes and waffles, and plump muffins pulled right from their tins, all accompanied by a trademark side of waitress sass. If the choices prove too overwhelming, try consulting the Magic 8 Ball sitting on the counter: It pointed us to the waffles buried in strawberries and citrus-infused ricotta. Worth the wait? It is decidedly so.
